Frequently asked questions
- Is faux pampas grass better than dried?
- For indoor use, generally yes. Dried pampas sheds plume fibres continuously, yellows within a season and is difficult to keep out of the air if anyone in the house has allergies. Faux pampas holds its colour and shape indefinitely and does not shed.
- The plumes arrived flat. Are they damaged?
- No. Plumes compress in transit. Shake each stem out and run your fingers up through the plume against the direction of the fibres, or pass it briefly through steam. They recover their full volume within a few minutes.
- How many stems do I need for a vase?
- Three stems suit a narrow neck vase around 8 to 10 inches. Five or more works for a wide-mouthed floor vase. Pampas reads best with visible space between plumes rather than packed tight.
